As part of Russian Internet Week 2017, Anton Gubnitsyn, PBN H+K VP for Government Relations, shared the results of joint RAEC and PBN H+K analysis of the regulatory environment for sharing economy platforms in Russia.
Such platforms already make a significant contribution to the Russian digital economy and, despite difficulties and unclear regulatory questions, the sector’s rapid growth is likely to continue. Sharing economy leaders Avito, Delimobil, Rentmania and Boomstarter all shared their business experience during a special panel session. The success of the sharing model in Russia is impressive: monthly sales on Avito’s C2C platform stand at around 15 billion rubles and car sharing service Delimobil averages 7 orders per day for each of its 1,500 vehicles in Moscow.
